When we began, none of the original details that composed the initial space were preserved. Our approach aimed to reinterpret the atmosphere of the 1890s through analogy rather than copy.

We were not interested in creating a replica of something that no longer exists, but rather in constructing a new character based on what it potentially was, through the use of the original proportions in the composition of the rooms.

The original typological principles are retained, with the representation room facing the street and private rooms toward the backyard. The kitchen was relocated as its function is now more commonly perceived as a space for representation.
